Longevity classes combine movement with a strong central core and body strengthening exercises. Our focus is on developing good posture and correct body alignment, and lengthening and strengthening muscle groups to encourage full ranges of movement. You then become more body aware, and feel taller, stronger and more mobile.
Classes are suitable for participants of all abilities, ages and shapes, and are taught to music in a fun and friendly environment. Longevity classes provide a complete body exercise. No previous dance or exercise experience is needed.
Due to its popularity, Longevity is a members fitness group and may not be able to accommodate people turning up unannounced for H&S reasons. We would be delighted if you could join our waiting list by sending me a request on the form below. I will then contact you as to availability in your area.

£5.00 per outdoor classPlease note there will still be a charge of £5 per class but I am making a donation to charity for each person who attends one of the outdoor classes.
I hope that we can raise enough money for one of the wooden planks that will make up the walkway in revamped North Lodge park and also I will be making a donation to EAAA (as this year I will not do the dance-a-thon)
If the ground is sodden or it is pouring with rain the class will not go ahead as I will not have an alternative venue.
I will send out emails if any change on the day and also post any changes on my Facebook page.
Please feel free to bring chairs and a flask if you fancy a little social after any of the classes.
I will not be doing floor work during the out door classes.
85 Years Young!
The UK has a history of encouraging fitness and spawned a few Movements to cater for the growing trend. One of these groups, and a precursor to Longevity, was known as Women’s League of Health & Beauty was founded in 1930 by Mary Bagot Stack. Her vision was of “a league of women who will renew their energy in themselves and for themselves day by day”. She believed completely in the power of women to make the world a better place to live in.
I have a personal collection of Women's League memorabilia which provide a fascinating insight into health and fitness in our country.
About
My name is Annamarie Sterne and I live locally with my husband and four children. I have danced since the age of 3 and have run local children's dance classes for over twenty years. In 2008 I trained to become a Fitness teacher in my own right. I didn't start classes until January 2014 and things have gone from strength to strength.
On a regular basis I have over 100 ladies and gents come to my classes each week. Not only have my members gained friendships through coming to classes I myself feel privileged each week to be a small part of everyone's weekly routine.
I am a fully qualified REPS Exercise professional.
I would love to hear from you and I am always looking for people to join my lovely ladies and gents. If you have any questions about my classes please fill in the form below and I will get back to you shortly.
